Why We Invested

Repeat entrepreneurs Mike and Kass Lazerow came to Greycroft in 2007 with a plan to build software and services on top of Facebook. At the time, MySpace was the world’s largest social networking site, but it was clear that Facebook was ascendant and would be an important advertising medium. When Buddy Media’s software finally launched 2 years later, the company quickly scaled into the world’s dominant social media management platform. Greycroft participated in four financing rounds between 2008 and 2011.
